JUNIOR DIAMUN

What is DIAMUN Junior?
Welcome to Junior Dubai International Academy Model United Nations (Junior DIAMUN). The first of its kind, Junior DIAMUN opens MUN to the passionate young students at primary school and encourages them to engage in the world of debate, subsequently bolstering their abilities in speaking, research, writing, critical thinking, and collaboration. With 6 committees and highly relevant topics across each, the conference urges students to develop international mindedness and get involved in the ongoing issues of our world.
Junior DIAMUN is a step forward in that direction, as it offers a platform to the youth- the true change-makers of our society. 

Why should your child participate in Junior DIAMUN?
The Junior DIAMUN event aims to engage primary school students in critically examining global issues and proposing solutions through a simplified version of the Senior School MUN. This experience helps young learners develop key skills such as:

Through immersive committee sessions, engaging workshops, and unforgettable social events, DIAMUN fosters a culture of diplomacy, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding. Join us as we embark on a journey of discovery, dialogue, and diplomacy at DIAMUN, where tomorrow's leaders are empowered to shape the world of today.

JUNIOR DIAMUN History

Our Junior DIAMUN Journey
The seeds for the idea were sown many years ago, when DIA saw successful DIAMUN year after year, engaging secondary school students from across the world in debate, problem solving and critical thinking. The dream to see this being replicated in primary school first took the shape of cross curricular activity in 2022-24. In the academic year 2023-24 it was organized as an Innovents- where primary school students from all five of the Innoventures Schools participated. The conference was hugely successful and in the academic year 2024-25, it is being organized as a UAE event, where primary school students from all over the country are being invited to participate.
